Fairly OddParents is a cartoon created by Butch Hartman and was first aired in March 2001. The name is a twist on Fairy God Parents. It is one of the most popular cartoons. The kids love Fairly OddParents and Timmy turner and his pink baseball cap. The show, set in the fictional central northern California town of Dimmsdale. The cartoon follows the day-to-day life of 10-year-old Timmy Turner. An only child, Timmy is the prey of mean babysitter Vicky ("Icky with a V"). Vicky enjoys annoying the kids she baby-sits. When Timmy's life reached a particularly low point, he is assigned a pair of fairy godparents who have the power to grant his wishes and the mission to make him happy. The problem is that Cosmo and Wanda, the godparents, are not the brightest of fairies. Although well meaning, their wishes often go awry. Timmy also makes wishes without thinking of the consequences of his wishes, this leads to more mayhem. These Fairly OddParents, mindful of their secretive existence, disguise themselves as various animals and objects in public. Always one green (Cosmo), and the other pink (Wanda), two halves to the perfect idiot. However there are some limits on the powers of the Fairly OddParents by DA Rules- overseers of the Fairly OddParents.
