It's usually on one of those long, lazy summer afternoons when we decide it's the time to have a garden party, complete with a mix of great Garden Party Supplies. And why not enjoy the luxury of the great outdoors (minus the outhouses) while entertaining your guests? Start your planning with creative invitations, using the back of old seed packets or flower markers. Maybe thread a couple together using some gingham ribbon, or use some plastic gardening tools with the invitation attached to it with string. Then, get your space ready for visitors by providing lots of shady seating space (either a covered patio or borrow a lot of umbrellas and chairs), and a large table for the food fixings. Try and provide as much greenery as possible in your planning, such as herbs from the garden in your salad dressing, or vases with freshly cut flowers on every table. A nice touch would be to cover all of your chairs in a similar color (something garden-pretty, like pastel green), and then attach a ribbon around the top, tied with some more flowers from your garden. For table settings, find some garden-themed kaleidoscopes or small terra cotta containers, and plant some small herbs inside, with your guest's name written on the side. Make sure to use tablecloths in appropriate colors (gingham, pastels, or flower prints), and tie up your napkins with even more flowers. Use sterilized garden implements (or plastic kids' toys made to look like gardening tools) to serve your food with for a great show-stealing conversation piece
