Plan a Pirates of the Caribbean themed party like a regular party – just with Pirates related party supplies and decorations. Use Pirates invitations with the cast of Pirates characters to indicate what type of party it is. Suggest on the invitations that guests wear pirates costumes and accessories. For guests who cannot dress up for the party, hand out eye-patches and bandanas (Jack Sparrow style).
For Pirates decorations include various tableware items in black and red. Decorate the table location with jewels, gems, and necklaces along with a treasure chest full of Pirate ill-gotten gains. The Treasure chest can be used as the centerpiece or focal point on the table. Hang numerous pirates flags in the party location as well. Add some realism to the party with Pirates cutouts of Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones, and Captain Barbossa.
Include various party games at the Pirates of the Caribbean themed party. Walk the plank is a fun game. Set up a long board on cinder blocks and see how far players can walk the plank without falling off. All player must be blind folded. Use the same plank and have children duel one another. The first player who falls off the plank is the loser. Give each child a plastic Pirates sword they can take home as a party favor.
A Pirates treasure hunt is a great way to keep kids active all party long. Hide numerous, specific types of treasure (toys and jewels) and see who is the best Pirate on the high seas. Hand children treasure maps with various clues to help aid them in their crusade.
Pirates of the Caribbean food can consist of Pirates stew – which is a variety of vegetables and beef in a pot. Pirates live on the high seas so any type of sea food can be put on the pirate menu.
A pirate of the Caribbean is a great theme for that next event as you can make this a costume party and truly have a good time. Advice your guests to come dress as a pirate, with their favorite pirates outfit, as they will receive gifts for participating. Take pictures and have activities to make this a memorable celebration.
