Puppy power goes along way because no one can resists the power of a puppy looking up at you with those big puppy eyes whether it's a pug, Yorkie, Chihuahua, Lab, German Shepherd, Dachshund, Beagle, Poodle, Rottweiler, Boxer, Golden Retriever, or Pomeranian. Dogs have risen up from common house pets to a new level of being people too. There are hundreds of dog breeds out there but certain breeds have become so popular that dog owners are not the only ones who know the top breeds. Here are a couple fun facts about the most popular breeds of dogs we all can recognize. The Labrador Retriever which is the most popular dog in the United States is an outgoing, gentle breed that is an excellent dog for children because of its super friendly temperament. The Golden Retriever makes a great family pet with its good natured, even temperament. The German Shepherd is an extremely intelligent, faithful and obedient dog that is often used as a guide dog or police dog. The Dachshund, commonly called the wiener dog, is a great little companion for a single person who would love a dog so loyal to only them. The Beagle is a hunter at heart, so don't let this cheerful, friendly dog off its leash or they will take of on their own. Poodles come in a variety of sizes from Standard to tea cup depending on your taste. A Chihuahua should live indoors because the breed is agoraphobic and gets cold easy (you can have fun buying doggie sweaters). No matter what breed of dog that has its puppy power over you, you can count on being overpowered by pure puppy cuteness.
