As the Nick Jr. program Wonder Pets concerns three animals that travel around the world rescuing those of their kind, it might be a good idea to stage a Wonder Kids game; a community service project cleverly disguised as a party game. In this game, kids should be encouraged to work together (in accordance with the Wonder Pets’ signature credo “What’s gonna work? Teamwork!”) to coordinate a volunteer effort at a local animal shelter. Challenge the kids to lend a helping hand in service to animals, whether it’s by cleaning the shelter, helping out a veterinarian at work, etc. Then at the end of the day, guests could be awarded “party prizes” that could include Wonder Pets dolls and DVDs; as an added bonus, Wonder Pets award ribbons are available online and at many party stores.
