Yom Kippur means "Day of Atonement" in Hebrew and is the time of year when Jewish people all over the world make amends for their past sins. Yom Kippur is a complete Sabbath and no work can be performed as well as refraining from eating and drinking, washing, anointing ones body with perfume or lotion, engaging in marital relations or wearing leather shoes. Customarily most of the holiday is spent preying in synagogue and white is worn to symbolize purity and the hopes that sins will be made as white as snow.

Yom Kippur Ideas
BELIEVE IT OR NOT JEOPARDY: Divide the guests into 2 teams....make a "game board" with poster board and post it notes. Have general cooking questions, questions about your company, just whatever you'd like to have talked about in your class....the game can be as long or as short as you'd like just adjust the number of questions. Give the winning team GREAT party favors and the second place team lesser favors, but give something to everyone...It's been a huge hit at my parties!!
